Rates & Policies

We pride ourselves on delivering premium, OEM-standard repairs. Our labor rates reflect the skill, precision, and integrity we bring to every job:

Rate per Hour

• Body & Paint Labor $75
• Mechanical Labor $150
• Luxury Vehicle Body & Paint $90

These rates apply to all repair work and are used in calculating estimates, supplements, and administrative fees. All listed rates are subject to change at our discretion.

Free estimates are offered as a courtesy to assist customers in understanding potential repair costs. However, Mike’s Body Shop reserves the right to charge for estimates when they are prepared solely for the purpose of negotiating an insurance or private party settlement, without a clear intent to proceed with repairs. 

Mike’s Body Shop does not prepare estimates for vehicles involved in active legal disputes, litigation, or intended for use in a court of law.

If an estimate we have prepared becomes subject to legal proceedings, and our staff is required to appear in court or provide testimony, expert witness fees will apply.

We remain committed to providing accurate, OEM-standard documentation—but we are not a legal service provider, and our estimates are intended solely for repair planning and insurance purposes.

Total Loss Vehicles and those left after repairs are complete take up valuable space and resources. To ensure fairness and efficiency:

• Storage fees begin the day of drop-off for Total Loss vehicles and 3 days after repairs are completed for those that have been repaired.
• Charged at $150 per calendar day
• Applies until the vehicle is picked up, released to salvage, or otherwise removed from our premises

Storage fees continue until all charges are paid and the vehicle is removed.

Preparing a total loss estimate is not a simple glance—it’s a detailed process that includes:

• Disassembly and damage documentation
• Professional estimate preparation
• Communication with your insurance adjuster
• Submission of supplemental documentation if needed

This service is not complimentary.
We charge a Total Loss Administrative Fee of $75 per hour, with a minimum of 3 hours ($225 total). This fee applies whether or not the vehicle is ultimately repaired.

Hail damage repair is a meticulous process that demands time, precision, and a commitment to quality. At Mike’s Body Shop, we approach hail estimates with the same OEM-standard rigor we apply to every repair.

What to Expect:

• Thorough Inspection: Each dent must be individually marked, counted, and documented to ensure an accurate repair plan.
• Vehicle Preparation: The vehicle must be washed prior to inspection to reveal all damage. Dirt or debris can obscure dents and compromise the estimate.
• Time Commitment: Due to the complexity and detail required, hail estimates incur a flat 3-hour fee. This covers:
• Dent mapping and documentation
• Repair strategy planning (PDR vs. conventional)
• Insurance-ready estimate writing

All administrative and storage fees must be paid in full before the vehicle is released.
Mike’s Body Shop retains a possessory lien on the vehicle until payment is received.

We invest time and expertise into every vehicle—even those that won’t be repaired. These policies ensure:

• Fair compensation for professional services
• Efficient use of shop space and resources
• Clear expectations for customers and insurers alike
